Churches and Christian leaders from Uganda and all over the world will unite together in a season of service that culminates in the Love Kampala Festival. Pray for Andrew and the church leaders as they work to mobilize and encourage our brothers and sisters in the "Pearl of Africa’s Crown", with the goal of sharing Christ to the lost.
ONE generation, ONE passion, ONE movement

Greetings from Kigali, Rwanda!
I am here in Africa with teammates as we strive to lay a solid foundation for the upcoming Kigali Festival with Andrew Palau (July 17-18, ’09). Exciting things are happening …
I met with President Kagame today (April 20) and he was very gracious. He is committed to giving us counsel and being at festival (at this point, he plans to be in the country at that time. Let’s pray to that end!) I got to share my testimony with him, some verses, and the vision for the festival.
The press conference and Season of Service (SOS) launch on April 17 were a huge success! Kigali newspapers, magazines, and even national television showed up.
We launched SOS at the Karama School – that’s where we’re building a water catchment system to bring 2,200 children clean water. They will no longer need to haul containers full of water each day. We have been up to the school for meetings a few times – and even with four-wheel drive vehicles – we’ve gotten stuck in the mud! You can imagine what a treacherous walk this is for the children hauling water jugs.
At our Pastors’ Luncheon on April 16 more than 360 pastors turned out! That’s 20 percent more than we’d expected. A local bishop told us he thought it to be the largest gathering of pastors at one time in Kigali City. What a tremendous blessing!
Please join with me in prayer for all the ways God is already moving in this country, and all He will accomplish in the coming weeks. The people here continue recovering from the 1994 genocide, and I see so much need everywhere we turn. People are hungry for God. I can’t wait to see the life-change He will bring through the Season of Service and festival itself in July!
